While we’ve always formulated our diets by AAFCO standards, we know you’re comfortable when the pets in your care are eating food that's been through an AAFCO feeding trial. We’re committed to have each of our foods go through one - yet because we perform them ethically it takes time.

During the trials the animals are treated well, with regular time running outside and playing with other dogs and humans- they even have a heated indoor yard for the winter months.

We serve tens of millions of meals a year and although we’ve never had a recall, we believe there is a safety advantage for all pets to be fed products supported by a quick notification system like ours. If there ever were a recall we would still report it to the FDA, but our direct relationship with consumers, plus our controlled product tracing means that we can reach affected customers within hours of a concern. This innovation embodies our commitment to safety and is a stark contrast to the commonly accepted public recall system, where you may never know that what you’re feeding your pet is possibly lethal.
